Group and Corporate Travel in Bhutan
Friends travelling together, a company retreat, a school or a society: we plan and run trips for groups.
A group in Bhutan travels much as a couple does, with more vehicles and more planning. The itineraries are the same; what changes is the booking of rooms, the number of guides and how far ahead it all has to be done.

What a group should know
- Book early. Hotels in Bhutan are small. Rooms for a large party in one place are the first thing to run out, above all in spring, in autumn and at festivals.
- Flights are limited. Two airlines fly to Paro, and seats for a group on one flight need to be held well ahead.
- The fees apply to each person. The Sustainable Development Fee is US$100 a night for each adult and US$50 for a child aged 6 to 11, whatever the size of the party.
- Vehicles are matched to the size of the party.

Questions
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can for March to May and September to November, when the flights to Paro and the better hotels fill first, and earlier still if your dates include a festival.
Outside those months a few weeks is often enough: the visa itself is normally decided within five working days.
What are the hotels like?
In Paro, Thimphu and Punakha there are hotels of every grade, from simple guesthouses to international luxury names. In Phobjikha, Bumthang and the east the choice is smaller and simpler. On a trek you sleep in tents.
Are your tours private or in a group?
The trips on this site are private: they run on the dates you choose, for your party alone, with your own guide and driver.
