Who we are
This website is run by Rhema Tours & Treks, a tour operator in Bhutan. Our contact details are on the contact page.
What we collect, and why
We collect personal details in one way only: when you send us an enquiry or a message through a form on this site. The form asks for:
- your name and email address, so that we can reply
- your message
- and, if you choose to give them: a phone or WhatsApp number, your country, your travel dates, the number of travellers and the trip you are interested in
We also record which page of the site the enquiry was sent from. We use these details to answer you and to plan the trip you ask about, and for nothing else. We do not sell or share them, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
You tick a box on the form to say that we may use your details to reply. That consent is the basis on which we hold them.
What happens to an enquiry
An enquiry is stored in this website's database and sent by email to our office. If you later book a trip, we will ask for the further details needed to apply for your visa, such as a copy of your passport, and we pass those to the Bhutanese authorities, the hotels and the airlines concerned. That is covered by our booking terms, not by this page.
How long we keep it
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and sets no cookies for visitors. That is why you were not asked to accept any.
To stop automated spam, the enquiry form counts how many enquiries arrive from one internet address in an hour. It does this with a scrambled fingerprint of the address, which is kept for one hour and then discarded. The address itself is not stored.
Other services
- Fonts and scripts are served from this website itself, not from another company's servers.
- WhatsApp. If you use the WhatsApp button, your message goes to us through WhatsApp, and its own privacy policy applies.
- Links. This site links to other websites, such as the Department of Tourism and the airlines. We are not responsible for how they handle your details.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time for a copy of the details we hold about you, to have them corrected, or to have them deleted. Write to us through the contact page. We will act on your request and tell you when it is done.
Changes
If we change how this website handles personal details, we will change this page and the date beneath it.
